FAT LOSS JOURNEY UPDATE

I’ve been trying to lose fat after gaining weight late last year, but the scales have been stubborn!

I thought I could just eat like I did 10 years ago (when I was 8kg lighter!)… but that didn’t work.

Why?

👉 My lifestyle is different now

👉 Hormones

👉 I don’t eat plant-based anymore

👉 I want more protein

👉 I train differently (less cardio, more strength)

So yes, I may weigh more – but I want that to be muscle 💪

What I’m doing now:

✅ 4 strength sessions/week

✅ 1 long run

✅ Cycling + walking commute

✅ Couch to 5K with the kids

✅ Considering a weekly 15-min HIIT

Biggest changes lately:

🥗 Mindful eating

🚫 No snacking after dinner

🌱 More variety for gut health

💧 Drinking more

⏳ Fasting when it suits my body

Progress? Slow! The scales are inching down and I’m taking measurements. But more than that, I’m:

✨ Making strength gains

✨ Feeling more in control

✨ Tackling stress/boredom eating

✨ Aiming for long-term habit change

No rush. Just building a lifestyle that works for now.
