“I’m so far off the mark; there’s so much work to do I just can’t face it”
Recognising the story you tell yourself and then challenging it is huge. And something you have to do repeatedly.
“I’m so out of shape.” ![]()
“It’s so much easier for others.” ![]()
“I’ve always struggled with my weight and always will” ![]()
Response:
“I’m going to focus on what I can do. What IS in my control and not compare myself to others”
It takes practice to train your mind. It will play you what it always has done.

Future projection
– she talks about how most people are taught to visualise the future and what you want.
To lose weight.
To fit into your old clothes.
Imagining your life when you can join in with family activities and keep up with the kids.
And really visualising your future self.
Instead of visualising a future of what you want, try visualizing a future of what it will cost you if you stay the way you are and continue to practice your current habits.
What will it cost you in 2 years. In 10 or twenty years?
