She joined up over a year ago and is part of team Black Panthers on a Monday and Friday Fitters!
Alison is 69 years old and is a retired nursery nurse. She is also a published author and keeps herself very busy with various activities during the week!
She used to belong to a gym but was never comfortable there 
She found it embarrassing when she had to keep asking about the equipment and in the end, her membership became a very expensive weekly swim!
Alison has various health conditions.
She has rhematoid arthritis with regular flares.
She’s in her 13th year of bladder cancer where she’s had to have many years of treatment, thankfully not at the moment but has regular checks and hospital appointments.
However, she knew she had to do what she could.
She needed to move more.
She was feeling the decline of general strength and stamina 
It took her a little while to pluck up the courage; but she finally reached out and messaged me and hasn’t looked back since!
She is lifting weights that she never thought she could handle;
She no longer has pains and pins and needles in her arms;
She’s feeling so much better and healthier!
It’s been so great to have you as part of the teams Alison; it’s not always easy to come, especially when you’re in pain and discomfort, but you always turn up and give it your all!!
