If you find it hard to eat well and exercise, it’s not your fault!!

It doesn’t mean you can’t do something about it, it just means it’s hard!

It also means we often have to go out of our way to move and exercise.

We’re designed to move only when its:

✅ Necessary – to get food either farming, hunting, gathering etc

✅ Social – the kind of exercise where you don’t realise it’s exercise! Traditionally this would be dancing or playing games

Our bodies are designed to find the easiest and most efficient way to move and survive.

So when you know you should take the steps but the lift is right there, it’s natural to want to take it.

We now live a more sedentary lifestyle than ever.

Our working lives usually involve us sitting down all day 💻

Our leisure time often involves being very sedentary (TV, reading, gaming etc) 📺

And even our housework is full of gadgets and machines to make life easier, as is our gathering food much less work by home delivery, click and collect etc. which by the way, im very grateful for and do not want to go back to the ‘old days’!

However, it just means now we need to make an effort.

We need to find time in our lives to move and we often have to go somewhere to do it.

Which is why we now NEED to go to special places and pay people to help us move!! (I do the same by the way!)

How can you make movement more NECESSARY and more SOCIAL?!
