This is Heather. She’s a practice nurse in a busy inner city GP surgery.
She cares for patients with long term health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, heart failure, strokes, asthma and COPD.
She’s also a busy wife and mum to 3 amazing young women.
When she came to us (nearly a year ago!) she was
- In her 59th year of life
- Post menopausal
- Realised she needed to care for her *own* health better
“I have always tried to be healthy and active but my joints and body were reminding me of my age.”
She wanted to get strong, fit and flexible as possible going into her 60th year!
Nearly 12 months later and not only is she:
- Stronger
- Has more stamina and energy
- Feels so much fitter!
Her body shape has also changed.
She has less back fat (her words!) and
“I’ve now got some glutes! I’ve never had a bottom before!”
It’s been such a pleasure to see Heather progress over these past months.
Right from the beginning she’s put in 100% and despite having never done strength training before, she’s given it all a go.
“I love the small group classes, getting to see other ladies working hard to get fit and strong.
Polly is a fantastic personal trainer. She is a great motivator, so knowledgeable, so caring and friendly.
What an amazing lady, such a pleasure to have you part of the community, you always step in with a big smile and leave with a bigger one.
Heather has seen such great progress with her 1 session per week (every week!) – she’s now upped it to 2 – lets go!!! ![]()
