Someone came in recently who doing their best at home but was getting frustrated, lost and therefore demoralised following youtube videos at home.
She came it and explained
“I’ve been doing that exercise at home and I never knew that’s what it was about! It feels totally different and I get it now!”
Having a coach can really make all the difference ![]()
Part of our job is make sure you’re doing the exercise right.
This is not only to prevent injury, but to make sure you’re getting the most out of the exercise.
It’s also our job to educate and explain why you’re doing the exercise.
Contrary to what some of my clients may think, I don’t just design a set of exercises for my entertainment! (well…..mostly
)
What really helps being in a small group is:
Having a set time each week booked in the diary
A person or in the case of a small group, people to turn up for (and being noticed if you don’t)
Someone watching and giving feedback
Knowing that you’re part of a bigger community all here for the same thing
If you’ve never done any strength training before, or even if you have but not sure you’re doing it right, or know you could probably push a bit harder, comment below or msg me ‘GROUP’ and i’ll reach out – always happy to chat.
