“I just want to be as strong and flexible as I can be as I get older”
I’m always speaking to people who come to me knowing they ‘should’ be doing strength training.
“I’d much rather be walking/cycling/doing Yoga, but I know I need to come here!”
Swimming, yoga, Pilates, cycling are all really good exercises to do.
They’re good for so many things physically and mentally and if you enjoy them, then you should absolutely do them and you will reap great benefits ![]()
However, they’re not that great for building muscle or strengthening bones ![]()
And this is what we need as we get older! ![]()

Strength training will also help us keep doing these activities that we enjoy for longer ![]()
