Work is full on and she told herself she just doesn’t have time to exercise.
However, it got to the point that she needed to do something.
She suffers with arthritis in both knees as well as Plantar fasciitis flare ups.
She tried several things in the past exercise wise, but she constantly ended up injured.
She was feeling really disheartened and frustrated.
So, after lurking on my facebook group for a good long while (!) Kathleen finally thought she was ready to reach out. Obviously cautious due to her previous bad experiences.
Over a year later and she’s still here!
Kathleen now:
She has much improved mobility; on a recent visit with her sister she commented how much easier she was moving around
She’s in less pain; her knees are still painful and I know she struggles. However, recently Kathleen was chuffed when she reported that at a concert recently, she wasn’t the one asking to sit down for once!!
Is much more confident in the sessions.
We had to be very careful at first, but as her confidence has grown, she’s been able to try exercises that she avoided AND increasing the weights she’s using..!
Kathleen loves the friendly and welcoming environment of the small group.
She knows we’re on hand if she’s struggling and if there’s something she can’t do, there will always be an alternative that she can do.
Great stuff Kathleen!
It’s not all about how heavy you can lift but how well you can move too ![]()
