‘I really want to change but struggle with feeling motivated all the time’
The truth is, you’re not going to feel motivated all the time. The trick is to do it anyway.
Easier said than done!
Don’t look at it as something you have to do; look at it as something you *want* to do.
This can totally change your perspective.
Here are a few things that can help you get going:
Some things to try :
A structured plan for exercise and nutrition – when you have something written down and in the diary and you’ve set aside time for it, you don’t have to wait for motivation, it’s in the plan
A coach to help guide you through, keep you accountable and give you that little push when you need it! (I know I’m biased
but it’s true and I have a coach myself and it really works!!)
Surround yourself with people who are also on a similar journey to you, people who want to make positive changes to their life
Choose activities you enjoy doing – there’s lots out there! Clubs, groups and societies for all kinds of things. If it’s enjoyable, it will feel a lot less like a chore.
Accept that sometimes you just won’t be feeling it, and that’s ok.
Do you struggle with motivation? What helps you get back to it? Or have you not figured that out yet?!
