“I’ve been doing that exercise at home following youtube and I never knew that’s what it was about; that feels totally different and I get it now!”

Having a coach can really make all the difference.

Part of our job is make sure you’re doing the exercise right.

This is not only to prevent injury, but to make sure you’re getting the most out of the exercise.

It’s also our job to educate and explain why you’re doing the exercise. Contrary to what some of my clients may think, I don’t just design a set of exercises for my entertainment! (well, most of the time!)

Benefits of having a coach:

✅ Having a set time each week, a person or in the case of a small group, people to turn up for all really helps.

✅ Knowing that you’re part of a bigger community all working towards something, can also be really motivational.

✅ Someone to tell you what to do – someone with a meaningful plan where you don’t need to think about what to do or how to do it

✅ Someone to gently push when you know you would’ve stopped when it was getting hard

✅ Someone to make sure you’re doing it right.

✅ And someone there with the knowledge to adapt or modify if you need it – there’s always an alternative!

“I’ve been paying for a very expensive swim for the past few months as that’s all i’ve been using my gym membership for. I poke my head round at the gym and just walk away as i’ve no idea what to do and completely forgotten everything i was shown at the initial consultation’

If you’ve never done any strength training before, or even if you have but not sure you’re doing it right, comment below or msg me ‘COACH’ and I’ll reach out – always happy to chat.
