I knew I needed more than hand weights and a DVD…

Caroline is a self-employed cleaner who exercised at home throughout her 20s and 30s. But in her 40s, she was told her bone density was declining.

She knew strength training was important, but had no idea where to start. 👀

So she joined Polly Turnill Fitness!

Now she loves using kettlebells and barbells, feels confident using gym equipment. She’s also been showing her son the correct techniques for the gym! 🏋️‍♀️

4 things we can learn from Caroline’s journey:

1️⃣ Knowing you need to lift weights isn’t the same as knowing how. Having a coach to guide you makes getting started much less daunting.

2️⃣ You don’t have to live in the gym. Learning the basics means you can build regular exercise at home too with confidence

3️⃣ Bone health matters. Strength training can help support bone health as we age.

4️⃣ It’s about more than muscles. Caroline has gained confidence, independence, new skills and some lovely social connections along the way. ❤️

Caroline came to us unsure where to begin. Now she’s building strength, learning new skills and investing in her future health.

Well done, Caroline — you’re doing brilliantly! 🙌
